Myrle Medeiros was a Californian artist, known for child portraits.

Medeiros is remembered as a leading figure in the 1960's-70's "Big Eye" art movement, featuring innocent looking children, the work here being an iconic example. These images were contracted for distribution by AAK and others through Woolworth's from 1962 to 1975. Vintage and Mid Century Female Portrait Oil Paintings, Wall Art, and Collectibles. The artist dropped the "M." to sign just "Medeiros" in later career so this piece is likelier from the early 70's.
